What is distant
Distant is the brainchild of music producer and DJ Mees Salomé. What once started as a monthly podcast and platform to share new music, grew to multiple sold-out events throughout the year with a wonderful community of like minded people. Creating the perfect place to escape your surrounding, to get lost in time and space.
"My intention with Distant is to create a place for you really connect with the music. Not to escape or distract you from anything per se, but to give you the opportunity to truly experience the feeling and emotion that the music has to offer.
That if you listen carefully, give it your full attention, you will start to feel the music and not just hear it. I feel like that is the true power of music. It’s the reason we call it a “universal language”, because it can make you feel something, even if you don’t understand the words."
